Mathwhizz Writing

During the last few days room 19 has been going on mathwhizz,mathwhizz is a site that will help other people in there maths not only it will help them in there maths it will help them in there problem solving.

What I have been up to in mathwhizz is trying to put the butterfly's into groups of 5  then after you put the flowers into groups of 5 then you put it in side the jar,to be able to move on to the next question you will need to get the question right if you get the question wrong to many time it will answer it for you and show you the strategies.

Will.i.am

Have you ever heard of the hip hop group named the Black Eyed Peas? Last week was a very interesting week for the Point England kids because Will.i.am (the lead singer of Black Eyed Peas) came to our school.  He came to donate a cheque for the Manaiakalani Education Trust to help  provide the schools with  new computers and ipads for students to work with.

I felt very excited and delighted at the time because a very famous pop star came in to donate a large amount money.

So, I would like to say a big thank you to Will.i.am for your support and your kindness to our trust.   Hopefully in the future we can succeed in what we would like to be.

Reading Reflection

TITLE:The FLOODS play school

SUMMARIZE.

(1)This book is about a school called quicklime college,that school is only for witches and wizards.

(2)The main characters in the story are the flood kids, they are witches and wizards.

PREDICT.

(1)I predict that later on the story they are going to  be fighting against each other later on.

(2)I think that this story is awesome to read when are bored.

Last term room 19 had a big opportunitie to write something good about that person on the piece of paper that we had to stick on our backs, The reason why we did this is that so people can find out something that other people like about them.

One thing I liked about what people said to me is that I am a really funny person to hang around with when it's is playtime or lunch time sometime;s in our class room when our teacher lets us chat for about 5 Min before we do our work.

My other thing I really really enjoyed reading was the one that said your a good leader when our class teacher leaves the class room or when she's late to open the door for us when morning tea's finished or lunch time.

What I had learnt from this is saying something positive about people when you are talking with some one else.

Kitiona Narrative

Once upon a time it was just me and my brother at home, but everyone went out. So my brother and I had decided to watch television and eat pop-corn. While we were watching television we heard a sound from the kitchen, but I thought it was my brother that was whispering on the phone, but unfortunately it wasn't my brother, he fell asleep on the couch. So I stood up and walked around in the house even though I was scared.

While I was walking around in the house, I heard whispered everywhere. So I couldn't see anyone that was whispering and so I thought to myself “well this is awkward”, So I went and woke my brother and told him, but then he did not believe me and said “your weird, just go to sleep.”Afew seconds later that whisper thing had gone away then I thought I better go to sleep now because that whispering sound had gone.

Then while I was sleeping I had a dream about that whispering sound as my dream went on I just strait clicked my eye's open and heard that sound that was in my dream, I got scared as I was awaked because that whisper felt like it had gone worse r and worser. then a few minutes later I wanted to go to the toilet but then I thought “OH no I can't go toilet now im scared of that whisper sound”. But then I had to go toilet because that weee had gone worse.

As I stood up the whisper had come closer and closer to me so I choose to run to the toilets and lock the door and do a really quik weee and run back out and put my planket over me to stop me from getting scared.

Later on that night I heard a car door open and closed then I said “that's my family” there here so I ran to open the door and run out to my mum and dad and I explaned them everything that happened on that night when they left.

When it was 8:00 in the morning my mum and dad told me and my brother not to stay home by our self's “NEVER STAY HOME BY YOUR SELF”.

Kitiona Graveyard Narritive

There was 3 boys that went to the movies and on that night there was a mouse that would make people disappear but not mouse that mouse can make people disappear is can also make them sick .

When the movie was finished those boy had gotten locked side the gate so they choose to walk thru the graveyards and in that graveyard there was mouse waiting for whoever would walk thru there and by the time they got to the graveyard the mouse already had his stuff ready so that when they get there the mouse is going to trip them all up and disappear theme just like that.

First up the mouse took the 9 year old boy from that trap that he had made he had disappear him into this little ugly town that was full of rubbish and mouse traps that 9 year old boy had stepped on the mousetrap and hid toe got jammed and his nail fell of and his leg started bleeding because his nail had fallen of.

Then that mouse got the 11 year old boy that was very scared of mice’s that mice had made the 11 year old boy sick with his magic wand that boy said that he would rather be disappeared then been sick because he has already had eczema then the next day that boy had past away because that boy had a hard attack.

Last up there was the 13 year old boy that was never  scared of anything but the only thing he was scared of was crocodiles that solved the problem by him taking the mice’s magic wand of the mouse and took everything back to normal.

Never watch scary movies.

Triathlon Writing

Yesterday Room 19 went to the school field to do the Triathlon with four men from Auckland Triathlon.They told us that Tri means three because there is 3 events in Triathlon and they are swimming,biking,and running.

Swimming was our very first event,Because our school does not have a school pool so we used a tarpaulin instead of a pool,hose and soap to make it super slippery. We had fun sliding on the tarpaulin in our uniform,The best part about this event is when I slipped over and dumped my head on Richard. I enjoy getting wet,soaked and grass all over me and it was a good experience for Room 19 and I.

Biking was a lot of fun for all of us because I kept slipping of the bike paddles it’s was so slippery that I nearly cut my self because I kept slipping of the paddle. My interesting part about biking is riding as fast as I could to win the race but then I didn't win but I still had fun biking the funny part about biking is when I nearly slipped off my bike when I hopped of my bike,it was interesting.

Running

was so short that we could even sprint the hole way through Non stop around the school field the part I hate the most is running because we had to run on these sharp sticks and they were pretty long,even though I hated it I still had fun with my friends.

I had a wonderful opportunities to try out this wonderful thing if you didn't try this before well you should try it out it is excellence.
