Little Red Riding Hood Retelling.

Once upon a time there was a little girl who lived near the woods, every time she went out she would wear a red long cloak so  everyone in her village called her Little red riding hood. One morning, Little red riding hood asked her mother if she could go to visit her grandmother, because they haven’t seen each other for awhile.
So later that  day Little red riding set off to visit her grandmother, but her mother told her daughter to stay on the footpath and stay away from the woods, off went Little red riding hood.
  But when Little Red Riding Hood noticed some lovely flowers in the woods, she forgot her promise to her mother.  She picked a few. Watched the butterflies flit about for awhile, listened to the frogs croaking and then picked a few more. Little Red Riding Hood was enjoying the warm summer day so much, that she didn't notice a dark shadow approaching out .of the forest behind her.
Suddenly the wolf appeared behind her, and olf  asked in a friendly way “What are you doing out in the woods all by yourself little girl?” “I’m on my way to see my  grandmother that lives down path” replied Little red riding hood,The wolf replied OK and ducked off.

As the wolf sprinted down the path, catching his breath from all that running, gently the wolf knock on the door as if he was little red riding hood. The Grandmother had been tricked  and thought it was her little red riding hood, but then got dream shattered as soon as the wolf busted her door down,The Grandmother was found lying on the ground dead
The little girl was very happy to see her granny but then everything changed when she took a look at her new grandmother the big bad wolf, his mouth was dripping with blood and thirsty for more, his eyes were red as if they were full of lava, little red riding hood’s heart dropped to the ground.........
Little red riding hood was as furious as an erupting volcano, she dropped her batch of goodies and challenge the wolf to a battle of combat,they both jumped to the roof and started to battle, they battle so hard that the roof came straight off.
Awhile later the battle was over and coming in victorious was the little red riding hood with cuts and bruises but survived the deadly combat, the house was torn apart but hiding in the shadows was the grandmothers body  lying on the floor. In the Batch of goodies was a magic potion which would make anyone come back to life.
Little red riding hood slipped open her grandmothers mouth and in went the potion, and a few seconds later she came back to life.
Years went by, while the grandmother was still watching over her little red riding hood and they lived happily ever after.     The End

As Mahe Drysdale cross the finish line the crowd went all crazy that a new zealand man got a gold medal.

When he was coming 4th in the beginning I thought that he was going to come 4th all the way but he actually came 1 in the race.

As he crossed the finish line there was a huge roar from the amazing fans of New Zealand.

Straight after race he collapsed onto the pontoon.

We had witnessed a moment in NZ History that will be remembered forever. well I thought that we are we very lucky to be able to win a gold medal for our country New Zealand.

What I have Learnt In the Life Education

The thing I learnt in the life education was making right choices, I also learnt that good or right consequences can lead you to the negative or positive side. Another thing I learnt was that cigarettes has 4000 (chemicals) in it which is bad chemicals that can kill you through your life when you start smoking, did you know that thousands of choices every day and every few of them will have a major consequences
The second week we learnt about our body parts, I learnt that our body has at least 10 major systems working to keep us going also when we are born there is 100 billion brains cells and that is more than the stars that we see in the sky when we look up at night. Each cells can make thousands of connections and new connections can happen when we learn new things and they can also get stronger when we practise.

Kitiona Basketball Writing

    Its was cool on thursday the 26 of July because I went with my whole class,we did our basketball drills on the netball courts

         When we got there we had to get into group than we got straight into our drill which was my favourite part.  The drills that we learnt were Dribbling,Jump stop and one two passing, my favourite drill was the one two passing because when we run to line with the ball we have to jump and face the other side were my teammates are.

        I felt very famous because I knew how to do 3 different skills, I also felt like michael Jordan slam dunking the ball on the hoop.

Olympic Flag

The rings were presented in 1914 in Paris congress, the symbol of the rings were there to memorialize the 20th anniversary of the modern Olympic games. that there were 6 Olympic colors each ring has different colors and each ring represent countries that has been involved in the Olympic for years.

Blue representing  Europe, Black representing  Africa, Red representing America, Yellow representing Asia, and Green representing Australia (Oceania).

Robyn Kahukiwa - Hine Whetu

For Taonga Time we have been learning about movie making.  In our last lesson we looked at time lapse. We did this by making an animation.  This animation shows a painting by Robyn Kahukiwa being drawn.  It shows it stroke by stroke.  The hardest thing was exporting my images.  The most fun part was using the real picture to trace.

In 1881 , Picasso was born in Malaga Spain,  on the 25th day of October.   he started painting in 1896 when he  lived in France and while he was only 15 years old .his painting style was called  cubism. Cubism shows people and scenes that are distorted and out of perspective.

Henry matisse was a french artist and was one of the worlds famous painter,forevism is a style of art that was led by henry matisse he also used intense colour, He used  colours that was about his feelings.

On Monday the 30TH April, At Pt england school had immersion rotation and each class we went to had to learn about different artist but one of my favorites one was Henry Matisse because we got wo draw a girl golding a guitar. Henry Matisse loved to express his self wile he is painting.

Kitiona Vincent Van Gogh

Vincent Van Gogh was a  Dutch painter but he was also a famous painter in History but he was not recognized by many people He only had one painting sold.
Van Gogh was born on March the 30th in 1853,he was Grootz undert near Breda Netherland and when he was 16 years old his uncle became a art dealer. His brother was also Theo dealer, but then in 1878 Vincent became a preacher in south western Belgium

How to built Tent

Tent Equipment:Tent
Tent fly
Tent Pegs
Mallet
Tent Poles
Guy Ropes
Step 1: You will have to open the bag and get out the equipment out and inside the the bag.Step 2: We had to lay down the tent on the ground and had to spread it out. While you are doing that we can also be putting the Tent Poles through the loop.
Step 3:Then we clipped on the clipper's to attache it to the fiberglass pole, and don't forget to tie the top nice and tight so that at if it is windy it won't blow down.
Step 4: When you have all done that you can add on the tent fly on, then grab the mallet with the pegs and hammer it down hard so that it doesn't come flying off while you are sleeping.

Kitiona Amazing race

WOW, on Monday it was our first day at camp, but even though I didn't stay overnight on Camp I still joined in the activities that we happening at school. My best activity was the ‘Amazing Race’ because we had to look for the stuff that we needed to start up the fire. My favorite part was when we had to cook the egg with a hobo stove but it was a much bigger one than the smaller hobo stove amazing race was all about achieve well but sometimes it not always about achieve it sometimes about working as a team.

Netball is a interesting sport to play because we get to learn new skills. But the skill that I like the most is the one about the balance To practice this skill we had to jump over a thing that was similar to a hurdle. Then Pivot and pass the ball back to the first person in line.

After that we played netball to practice our netball skills but it wasn't a real netball game because the rules where different .

I felt very joyful because when our school has mix up team for netball I can just remember the skills that Liz told us about.
